The Cunningham Legacy Tour in Central Asia took place in a strategic city of that region, where over 120 leaders from 21 nationalities gathered together for a regional leadership gathering.

The Legacy Tour team was made up of Giacomo Coghi, David Hamilton, Trent Sheppard and Geeta M. It was an incredible time of impartation and celebration as leaders serving in the 10 Central Asian nations committed to follow Jesus and take our rich legacy forward into the future...and into the areas where we are not.

Alessandro P welcomed all participants reminding them of the word that Loren Cunningham shared in 1999 at their staff conference: “as the Silk Road expanded from one side to the other of Central Asia, so will the River of God flow throughout that entire region…and when Central Asians begin going from east to west, and from west to the east with the Gospel, there will be an incredible overflow into all the areas of that land.”

On the second day, Egbert Z shared a word on the role of Paul and Timothy, and how we are to commit to our fathers and sons in the ministry of the Gospel. Paul’s fatherly leadership to Timothy created the place for him to rise up as a man of God.

That evening, we had Loren’s Celebration of Life which ended with “The Father’s Blessing” in every Central Asian language. It was a powerful time that went deep into our spirits and paved the way for the next day.

Giacomo delved into the concept of family legacy the next morning and how we must receive our legacy, expand it, and pass it on to the next generation. In the afternoon, David Hamilton led us in understanding the Y Four Legacy Words, and that evening, he shared an inspirational message from Isaiah 43 on “God is doing a new thing.”

On Day 4, we embarked on an amazing intercession time for multiplication into every area of Central Asia where we are not. With that same apostolic vision, Trent led us in what the legacy of the University of the Nations is for our part of the world. We took time to listen to the Lord for specific schools to be started in the next three years across the region. In the afternoon we had a Q&A Panel with the Legacy Tour Team along with some of our regional elders.

That night, everyone dressed up in their local cultural outfits, and came together for a wonderful Love Feast! Everything was decorated according to the culture and people brought gifts to share with one another. We ate good food, celebrated the Lord’s Supper, and then danced nonstop Central Asian style into the night! It was a lot of fun!!

We ended the gathering by committing to continue to follow Jesus, the leader of our mission, taking the legacy He has given us into every unreached area of Central Asia.
