Adjusted plans for Loren Cunningham Memorial Tour

God is getting our attention!!! 

In recent weeks, Darlene began to have a sense of unease regarding the process and published plans for the Loren Cunningham Memorial Tour in 2024. When she took this to several key leaders, they confirmed that they too felt adjustments were needed, with more input from our leaders in the field. 

In mid-November, Dar had an injury which required many weeks of intense daily physical therapy. Thank you for your prayers! With hard work, she is healing well, and will soon be released to move home – but she is not allowed to travel until April 2024. Though this health situation happened after Darlene’s initial concern about the tour, it did underscore that God was trying to get our attention! It is His faithfulness that He alerted us to a needed change in plans, and we are excited to hear and follow His direction. We regret any cost or inconvenience this brings to our YWAM family around the world! But in the midst of this, Dar was reminded of one of the great examples from Loren’s life: “If you don’t get it right, humble yourself…hear from the Lord and make the needed changes.” We know that listening and obeying God will always lead to greater fruitfulness!

We are currently in a process with various YWAM global elders to re-adjust the dates and locations of the tour. We sense that there is also to be a “shift” in focus: this is not just to be a Loren Cunningham memorial tour, though we will give glory to God at each event for Loren’s life and ministry. But we feel it is to be a broader “Cunningham Legacy Tour” - a mobile platform for unpacking the life principles modeled by Loren and Darlene that have contributed to the formation of our mission, and that allowed Loren to “finish well.”

As we relook at dates and locations, we hope they can better coincide with and enrich ACT, continental and global YWAM gatherings already planned. A few of the original dates and locations may be reinstated, but some may take place into 2025, following YWAM Together in the Philippines Sept 3-6, 2024.
